Do you buy popcorn unpopped and loose, unpopped and in a microwave packet or already popped?
I buy the unpopped loose kernels in a bag that are pretty cheap in price.
Measure about 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a large glass bowl.
Pour in about 1/3 cup of popping corn and swish around to coat then add a couple of pinches of salt (optional) and swish some more.
Using an upside down dinner plate (microwave proof) place on top of the bowl and place in the microwave. The plate needs to be upside down or the condensation funnels to the centre and drips into the popcorn making the popcorn soggy, be careful taking the plate off.
Microwave on high for about 3 minutes 10 seconds or until popped.
Test if you need more salt and eat away!
