Hummus I’ve found is one of those recipes you change to how you like it as long as you have your base of chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice and some seasonings it’s all yours.
Limes work just as well as lemons for the tangy taste that you can adjust, my lot disliked hummus (it’s too bland) until I started adding more lemon juice and changed spice mix.
My recipe is probably pretty yellow compared to many finished products out there that’s mostly due to the seasonings in the harissa and the cumin.
This hummus recipe lasts for about 5 days in the fridge but generally I’ve eaten it all before then as snacks here and there.
I’ve seen the recipe with tahini, I’ve not tried this but if you do let me know how it tastes.
