One simple way to healthy up your biscuits is to swap out some or all of your white flour for wholemeal flour. If you think the family will baulk and ask about those little wheat germ bits in their biscuit add a little coconut to the mix or sprinkle some coconut over and no one will notice.
Another way is to substitute some of your chocolate chips for sultanas, currants or raisins.
Mash a banana into the mix.
Sometimes it does depend on what your recipe calls for as some biscuits just aren’t meant to be healthy, but give it a go and see if anyone notices.
Here is my chocolate choc chips biscuits that I quite often substitute the plain white flour for plain wholemeal flour and even mix and match the sultanas and choc chips, see what works for you.
