The basic pancake recipe can be used for variety of snacks by adding different herbs, vegetables and cooked meats.
For savoury make your basic pancake mix, omit the sugar and add your seasonings, salt, pepper, herbs or spices.
Salt, pepper and herbs with cooked and chopped corned beef, ham, bacon.
Add grated cheese and herbs.
Grated carrots and zucchini (squeeze out some of the juice before adding to mix).
Cooked and chopped vegetables.
Serve with tomato sauce or spread on butter.
Go sweet and keep the sugar adding grated apple and cinnamon.
Classic ice cream and chocolate topping or maple syrup.
Add in blueberries.
Mix in mashed banana and cinnamon.
Chocolate chips. Beware of overloading, it doesn’t end well if you don’t keep the chips small (as in chopped) it goes into a gooey mess and you can’t flip properly.
Top with cream or ice cream.
